Personally, I find arc dodging ships to be the most fun to fly. Arc dodging ships are relatively difficult to fly (and mistakes hurt a lot). What kind of learning curve are you comfortable with? Lists with turrets are relatively easy to fly. Arc dodging lists rely on one or two high value agile ships. Turreted generally rely on one or two high value ships with turrets (Firesprays kind of fall into this category). Swarms are generally 5+ ships and require careful formation flying. What kind of list do you want to fly? The main choices are swarm, turreted, or arc-dodgers. If your answer is competitive then look at some regional winners and start putting together a similar list at your own speed. How do you want to play? Casual (with friends) or competitive? If your answer is casual then buy whatever ships you like/want to learn.

I also want to try running Xizor with 2 titled thug Ys (and probalby a naked z with the last 12 points), as well as dual Aggressors once I eventually get a second one. Fully upgraded Xizor + Guri with thrusters and predator + 2 Zs. Thought about doing it for that but don't want the weak rounds required to get up to the 2 being fully upgraded). I might try that one for the next 100 point tournament that happens here (next one coming up is escalation. I also want to try a Fett/Aggressor pair. I want to try Xizor with 4 bugzapper pirates but need another Most Watned pack and another Aggressor first. Last 2 points might put an ID back on Xizor, then dunno for last point. Then I'd pick up an autoblaster on Torkhil (decided to try running torkhil naked since any upgrades make him an even bigger target than he already is and when he's inevitably killed because of his pilot skill I don't lose as many points). Going back, it would have been better to ditch the feedback arrays (not sure I ended up using them at all. I tied for second with that list and lost the tie-breaker to MoV. My most recent Scum list I took to a tournament a few weeks ago was. Regardless what you go with, in the long run you're going to need non-scum ships to get needed upgrades sadly. You could also do a StarViper + Hwk for 5 dollars more than the firespray and do some lists with that. You could probably build a decent list with that. I think going from nothing if you want to get to a decent list a better purchase might be Most Wanted and a Firespray. You get mangler cannons, but no PTL, no predator, no autothrusters, no advanced sensors or FCS (you get accuracy corrector at least, but wouldn't be my first choice on the aggressor). It doesn't get you most of the upgrades that are actually used on the Aggressor.

The other issue for runing dual aggressors as an initial investement is I'm not sure how good a list you'll be able to make with just the 2 IG-2000 expansions.
